CIRROCUMULUS

A member of the high cloud family normally composed of ice crystals. It appears as a thin sheet of cloudwith small white "cotton ball" puffs. In some cases it may be composed of highly supercooled water droplets or a mixture of ice crystals and supercooled water. As such it presents some icing potential but its thinness minimizes the danger of significant structural icing.
